Commas are lacking.

I chose this book because I enjoy the occasional paranormal fiction. The story was good; however, I began to be distracted by the lack of punctuation and proofreading. I began reading with a pencil in my hand, inserting commas and marking incorrect words. I hope there has been improvement in later works. I actually did enjoy the story.
