In a culture of binge-watching and Netflix, many of us don't really grasp the concept of cliffhangers, and as a result, we can't really appreciate the impact created when God closed out the Old Testament with the greatest cliffhanger ever. After a promise to restore or destroy, He went dark and left His people with 400 years of silence. Sometimes, we still face seasons of silence, and while they probably won't last 400 years, if we don't understand the reason for the silence, we'll miss the promise when the silence ends.
