This Sunday, we will look into Matthew 13:53-58, where Jesus returns to His hometown of Nazareth. He teaches in the synagogue, but the people are astonished and struggle to accept Him as the Messiah. They question His background, doubting His ability to perform miracles.
Because of their lack of faith, Jesus is unable to do many miracles there, saying, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own town." The passage highlights how unbelief prevents people from experiencing Jesus' full power, leading Him to move on to other places where He can perform more miracles.
