An Update on the NY Wildlife Contest Debate Here's a 35 minute conversation about wildlife contests and an update on New York's A722 and S4253. Its at the DEC legislative committee level in the state legislature. This proposed bill would prohibit wildlife contests, competitions, tournaments and or derby where the goal is hunting or taking for prizes. We talk about the history of similar prohibitive bills, its current status & definitions. There's an overview other states with similar bills. We also look at the difference between two questions. Should wildlife contests be lawfully prohibited? What types of wildlife contests are ethical & under what situations do they create more good than harm?  Thanks for listening.
