Sometimes I think we, as Christians, forget how urgent the Gospel message really is. We think, “Once I’m comfortable with so-and-so, then I’ll share the Good News…” or “I’ll only share the Good News if they bring it up.” I think people have this idea that we’ll always have more time to share Jesus with the lost. But let me tell you: this couldn’t be further from the truth. The Gospel message is an urgent one. Life is fragile, and in the blink of an eye we could be gone. Whether people have or haven’t received Jesus will affect them for all eternity.
The Bible says in Proverbs 24:11, “Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.” So let’s share the Good News – the Gospel - boldly, honestly, and clearly today.
Who in your life needs to hear that Jesus Christ came to earth to die on a cross so they could be saved? Who needs to hear of His love and redemption? Who needs “rescuing” by the Gospel? Pray about these things—then start conversations.
