Pre-colonial eduvation was found in African socoetie prior the advent of colonialism at the second half of the 19th century. Basically was informal set of education in sub-Sahara Africa and formal education existed in North-West African societies where universities such as Al-Azhar in Cairo, Timbutu in Mali, Fez in Morocco and Sankore in Songhai were established based on Islam.
