The ANC's Integrity Commission has summoned the party's Secretary-General, Ace MaGashule to an urgent meeting over a comment he made that he will never step aside over a mere allegation of corruption. He's been drawn into the P.P.E tender scandal after reports that two of his sons received contracts worth two-point three million for COVID-19 goods and services. Over the years there have been claims of corruption against him while he was the Free State Premier and ANC provincial Chairperson. The ANC is holding a Special National Executive Committee meeting this weekend to debate extensively and implement plans to fight corruption that has caused huge reputational damage to the party. LINK: Yesterday President Cyril Ramaphosa was answering questions during a parliamentary Q&A session where he spoke about issues of corruption. He avoided answering the question on whether he believes that former Ethekwini Mayor Zandile Gumede should be a member of the Kwazulu- Natal Legislature. The question was asked - twice - by the Leader of the Official Opposition John Steenhuisen.
