Legend has it that one day the Lie and the Truth met in a river. Then, the Lie said to the Truth:
– Good morning, Mrs. Truth.
And Truth, who didn't trust her new friend very much, checked if it really was a good day. She looked up at the cloudless blue sky, listened to the birds sing, and came to the conclusion that it was indeed a good day.
– Good morning, Mrs. Lie.
– It is very hot today, said the Lie.
And the truth saw that just as the Lie said, it was a hot day.
The Lie then invited the Truth to bathe in the river. She took off her clothes, got into the water and said:
– Come on, Mrs. Verdad, the water is very good.
By that time the Truth already trusted the Lie, so she took off her clothes and went into the river. But then, the Lie came out of the water and dressed in the clothes of the Truth while the Truth refused to dress in the clothes of the Lie, preferring to go out naked and walk down the street like that. The people said nothing when they saw the Lie dressed in the clothes of the truth, but they were horrified when the naked Truth passed by.
