There is a kind of rest that goes deeper than sleep. Deeper than a quiet house or a free afternoon. It is the rest that comes from truly casting your cares on the One who actually cares for you.

In this episode I am sitting with one of my favorite invitations in all of scripture — 1 Peter 5:7 (Forgive me but in the episode I missed quoted where to find it). It is a short verse but it carries something profound for the burned out creative mama who has been carrying everything on her own for far too long.

We were never meant to hold it all. And rest — real rest — begins the moment we stop trying to.

I close with an encouragement that I pray lands exactly where you need it today. Because wherever you are in your creative journey, in your motherhood, in your faith — there is an anchor waiting for you. And His name is Jesus.
