More powerful than the famous Cleopatra, she was one of Egypt's greatest and least known rulers. We follow Queen Hatshepsut in the first major biography of the New Kingdom and focus on her relationships with her adviser Senenmut and her step-son, Tuthmosis III. We end with discussing the reasons she was so violently removed from the Egyptian historical record.
