Welcome to the first episode of the Ancient Futurist Podcast. For this one, I dive in with a good friend and amazing human, Melissa Stangl. Years after leaving corporate scientific America to live and work in the Amazon studying the profound healing effects of plant medicines, Melissa co-founded and is presently the COO of Soltara Healing Center (soltara.co), a Shipibo-led ayahuasca center in Costa Rica. She is also co-founder of The Maloca (themaloca.com), a conscious community platform centered around holistic healing and psychedelic medicines. Melissa and I share a deep passion for helping bridge the gap between the Western world and the incredible healing potential of plant medicines, while honoring the traditions and lineages who pioneered their ceremonial use for millennia. We're also both equally passionate about exploring the parallels between newly uncovered scientific data with concepts that have been conveyed for ages by shamanic cultures.
