Anticipating the coming of the Messiah was all the rage in the pre-Christian era for the people of Israel. There was a sense or perhaps better a need for a Messiah, a Deliverer from God to rescue them. The advent of the Messiah was important. The Scriptures had pointed to the coming one. Prophets had proclaimed God's intervention. We begin the season of Advent with this message Ancient Preparation.
