The more profound—the more subtle.  The more subtle—the more delicate.  The more delicate—more elusive.  The more elusive—the more easily lost.  We do well to view the history of humanity as the cyclical gain of profound knowledge then lost to time.  Climate catastrophes, migrations, wars, and indifference are all products of time bringing the demise of great civilizations throughout history.  Yet the ancient secrets are there, waiting to be revealed--rediscovered.
