Sometimes, you believe in something so completely… A dream, a vision, a possibility so real you can feel it blooming inside you. And for a moment… it starts to happen.

You taste it. You see signs. You let yourself hope.

But then something shifts. An email doesn’t come. Someone says no. Something small goes wrong, or just… goes quiet.

And just like that, the fear comes flooding in. Not just fear, but all the old voices, the ones that sound like reason.

Like:

“Of course it was too good to be true.”

“You should’ve known better.”

“It’s probably for the best anyway.”

They sound smart. They sound protective. But what they really are is abandonment.

Not by life. By you toward yourself.

That moment when your dream feels uncertain, that is not proof it’s not working. It’s not the end. It’s the middle.

The pain you feel when you start to pull away from what you love? That ache isn’t from the external moment.

It’s from the self-betrayal of deciding it’s safer not to believe.

But what if you didn’t do that this time? What if you stayed? What if you let the fear be there without building a whole story around it?

What if you allowed the discomfort, the not-knowing, the tender ache of wanting something you can’t yet prove?

What if you could sit with it without numbing it, without calling it stupid, without shutting the whole thing down?

Dreams take root underground before they bloom. Just because you can’t see movement doesn’t mean nothing is happening. So when doubt comes don’t make it mean you’ve failed. Don’t make it mean you were wrong to want.

Just breathe.

Let the fear rise.

Let the stories swirl. And then… come back to your breath. Come back to your heart. Come back to the you who dared to believe.

This is the part where most people quit. But you’re not most people. And this isn’t the end. Stay. Something is still growing.
