Do you remember your parent looking for you after you had disobeyed?  They probably said, with an ominous tone, "Where are you?"  Well, God went look for His disobedient children as well.  Because He already had a heart for their redemption, his question was, most likely, that of a heartbroken Father.  His heart of mercy has not changed.
