Names meant something in biblical times. The name given to a child would many times be a prophetic hope spoken over a baby. This was literally true when one of God's prophets, Isaiah, predicted the birth of a special child hundreds of years before it took place. He called Him "Wonderful Counselor, Almighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace."
