From The Matrix to Episode I to Toy Story 2 to Wing Commander to The Mummy, we take a trip down memory lane in a year that wasn’t the first year to feature CGI, but it was definitely the year CGI moved from an expensive tool to a cinematic necessity, allowing storytelling to change forever.
