It’s award season again, which has us talking about award shows in general. One of us hates them and the other doesn’t, so we discussed why we both feel the way we do. Also the question came up: Why are there so many award shows anyway? There’s the Grammys, Oscars, Tonys, Golden Globes, MTV awards, Emmys, Billboard Music Awards, BET awards, VMAs, Country music awards…and on and on. Typically, it’s the usual suspects winning, so why so many? Finally, we talked about the flawed process that makes these award show unbearable (for one of us).
