This collection of excerpts comes from Agatha Christie's classic mystery novel, And Then There Were None. The text introduces a diverse group of individuals who have been invited to a mysterious island off the Devon coast. Upon their arrival, they discover they are the only guests, and a disembodied voice accuses each of them of having caused someone's death. As the guests are isolated by a storm, they begin to die one by one, in ways that eerily mimic the verses of a nursery rhyme. The narrative follows their growing fear, suspicion of one another, and desperate attempts to identify the unknown killer among them, culminating in the revelation through a found manuscript that the judge, Lawrence Wargrave, orchestrated the entire scheme.
