For this week's episode, the DetBlock crew takes on a different approach due to the topics discussed.  The episode will be broken out in 2 parts - the first being primarily about Star Wars and a little LOTR.  Since Dustin was itching to talk some MLB Trade Deadline stuff,  we also dive into that topic, but will release that as a separate partial episode.

With PART 1, Dustin surprises us off the bat with taking the lead on the episode; Mike didn't even know it was coming!  With just the two of them this episode, they first look to talk about some Andor updates dealing with the premiere date of the show being pushed back; however, fans getting 3 episodes to start.  On top of that, they review the newest Andor trailer that has released.

Following that, they dive more into a topic they love to cover - toxicity within the Star Wars fan base.  This all stems from comments Simon Pegg made, stating that Star Wars can be one of the most toxic fan bases.  They crew look to dive deeper into those comments and provide their opinions.  On top of that, they find it a good time to continue to promote the awesome Star Wars Facebook group named The Non-Toxic Star Wars Fanbase.  Make sure to check them out, along with other fantastic groups that take on similar approaches, like My Star Wars Life and  The Star Wars Fan Base.

Finally, with Dustin more-or-less taking the reigns, he wanted to dive into some Silmarillion discussions as he recently finished the audio book.  If you're a fan of Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and any Tolkien product, make sure to stay on and listen to what we have to say.  There is so much great Tolkien product out there that goes beyond what has been released on the big screen!
