Hanley talks with Matthew Chase-Daniel about California Stars, the new show she has curated at the Wheelwright, which includes fourteen important First California artists. There are California/New Mexico connections, works from the museum’s collection, borrowed works, new and old works. The artists’  works alternately deconstruct stereotypes or revitalize traditions.
