Thai authorities are scrambling to get the stranded football team out of the cave before this weekend's heavy rain.

The team are gathering strength as they prepare to evacuate before a weekend of heavy rain.

Two of the boys and their coach have been diagnosed with exhaustion and malnutrition.

RTL-Hessen reporter Andreas Schopf is talking to crews providing food and supplies to the boys.

He told Larry Williams they are getting them ready to leave as soon as they possibly can.

"They're weak but they are getting stronger, because now they can eat real food they're eating chicken and rice and the guys said it's cold but it's healthy and doctors put this menu together."

He says everyone is determined to make sure the boys make it out alive.

"The Thai government doesn't want to make any mistakes because the whole world is watching and they want to get the boys out alive of course."
