In this episode, we chat with Andres, a spirited individual originally from Monterrey, Mexico. Growing up in a big family with his parents and three brothers, Andres developed a deep love for nature, often spending his days exploring the outdoors, making short films, and going on boy scouting adventures with friends.

After completing his studies, Andres decided to take a sabbatical year, which led him to Germany. He then pursued a degree in mechanical engineering. When his wife received a research opportunity in Leipzig, they made the move together, facing the challenges of settling in a new country and finding a place to live.

Andres shares his experiences of overcoming obstacles, such as learning German at a language school and participating in a programming course where he formed lasting friendships. His determination paid off as he eventually found a job and began to feel at home in Leipzig.

Tune in to hear Andres' recommendations for enjoying the city's natural beauty, lakes, and diverse food options, including some fantastic Italian restaurants and lively bars. Join us for an inspiring conversation about resilience, adaptation, and the joys of discovering a second home in a foreign land.
