Wellington Phoenix captain Andrew Durante understands why it didn't work out with Darije Kalezic
The Phoenix are on the hunt for a new coach, following Kalezic's departure earlier this week.
Reserve-grade coach Chris Greenacre will fill the role on an interim-basis, but won't be considered for the job fulltime as he doesn't have his pro-licence.
Durante says coaches in the A-League more often than not need to be from within Australasia.
"It's a completely different beast to Europe. You can transfer players in and out at will in Europe. Here, your stuck with a salary cap, your stuck with international windows. There are so many different factor in the A-League."
He told D'Arcy and Goran that he hasn't experienced a season quite like this one, with the side bottom of the table and the coach and assistant coach departin.
