DHBs are wanting to change the way the pharmacies work - so some can only give clinical advice, instead of being able to fill prescriptions.
Pharmacy Guild Chief Executive Andrew Gaudin told Mike Hosking the changes would completely restructure the way pharmacies work.
He believes the changes are because DHBs are looking to save money.
"Their view in this case is there'll be some savings from centralised supplied medicine, separate from pharmacist advice, but there's absolutely no evidence to support that."
