Former Jesuit and Delgado Community College left-hander Andrew Mitchell combined with Josh Walker on the no-no in a 2-0 Binghamton victory Tuesday night in Reading.

   Mitchell, a 2013 graduate of Jesuit, redshirted at LSU in 2014 before transferring to Delgado, where he went 7-2 in 13 appearances in one season. Mitchell signed with Auburn, where he pitched three seasons. His best year on the Plains was as a fifth-year senior in 2018, when he posted a 4.29 ERA in 50 1/3 innings.

Mitchell was a 14th round selection of the New York Mets in the June 2018 amateur draft. In 64 career minor-league appearances, Mitchell has a 2.00 ERA, an 8-4 record and six saves. The 2021 campaign is his first at the Class AA level, and Mitchell is 3-1 with a 2.42 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 22 1/3 innings.
