This week I’m here with Andrew Turner, AKA The Walking Dad, to discuss how hiking in the woods with his two boys has helped them grow closer as a family, and how it’s helped his youngest son who is developmentally disabled, to do things that Andrew was told he would never be able to do.
Andrew is also a teacher at an alternative school – hear about why there is no such thing as a “Bad Kid”, and learn how Andrew helps kids who most people have given up on to achieve the success and happiness that everybody wants in life.
Also in this episode, putting on a Storm Trooper costume to help sick kids, why asking for help can be the bravest thing you can do, and how facing his trauma instead of brushing it under the rug has helped Andrew overcome a lifetime of anxiety and negative thought patterns.
