A voice and heart for the community, Ane Nuku Karika is a volunteer Maori warden in the community of Mangere. Her passion and love is for helping the community. She expresses how she wants to let the community know that there is help for you and your families and you do not need to "struggle silently". 

The Maori wardens assist around the areas of taking care of our elders , youth , food , health issues , and making sure the community is safe. 

"Aroha Ki Te Tangata" is a motto Ane and her team live by which means, the love for people not matter what race , status or nationality they are all here willing to help. Ane also expresses how she wants the community to not be afraid of reaching out It is  OK not to be OK.
