5-star narration, good historical western romance

Narration: Was excellent, Ross has a pleasing voice.

Story: I personally found it good fun and easy listening. Hotness level is definitely steamy.

The story was a bit cheesy at times, but it's a romance, so it was alright - I was totally expecting it. The characters were predictable, but it was to e expected in this type of novel. I'm still new to this genre, I'm usually more into Jane Austen, George Eliot type books, epic-fantasy (lotr, R.R. Martin, etc). But my line of work is so serious, and I read ALL DAY, so it's nice to have some easy listening, something not too serious.

Very sexual...

This book is WAY more sexual than I had expected for a historical western written over ten years ago. It happens to have a good storyline and likable characters as well, so I gave it a high rating. If you like your books with lots of heat, you won't be disappointed.

"Angel Creek" is a story set in the small town of Prosper, Colorado in the late 1800s.

The hero, Lucas Cochran, returns to take over the Double C Ranch after his fathers death, with plans of turning the already prosperous ranch into an empire. Needing more water, Lucas sets his sights on Angel Creek, a nearby land known for its rich soil and abundant water supply. But if he thought he could just ride into the property and throw his weight around, then he is in for a shock when he meets the defiant owner of Angel Creek, and her shotgun.

You'll be drawn into the town of Prosper, and it's surrounding ranches, by the excellent performance of Natalie Ross...you'll feel the emotions of it's well developed characters. I loved the character of the strong, independent heroine, Dee Swann.

I highly recommend Angel Creek as a refreshing addition to your Historical Romance Library.

Great story

I loved this story, very believable. The secondary story was a little less intriging then the main but it was still very entertaining. The Narrator was very good as well. Steamy but not dirty.

Passionate, evocative, memorable!!

I just blew another day listening to another fabulous Linda Howard book! And I really enjoyed this one! Wonderful, vibrant characters, great plot development, richly passionate, achingly tender and heart wrenching, -this is definitely a book to come back to!
