Yes, you know you need to give and take when building your network, and you should strive to add value to others before they even do to you. But what if others cannot see your value due to bias and perceptions? And what if you struggle to see yourself as a valuable one to connect with in the first instance, because you are not ‘like’ any of these people, even if you speak their native language as well as them?
