If you know Mario, then you know he is a poet, radio personality, activist, producer, event promoter, Mayor of Hyde Park, and legend Mario Smith.

I had the honor and privilege to get Mario on for a few minutes to discuss his life and career growing up destined to be in front of the microphone. He has his own radio show "News From the Service Entrance" and promotes events throughout Chicago. This young man is a true legend and an overall great person to be around. This podcast really deserves a listen and his name deserves a Google search.

All the Professor wants for us is to work hard, study hard, graduate, and become successful CPAs. I plan on taking his courses even as I take classes for my MBA or MSA. The decision has not been made yet on which path I will be taking. Anyway...

John Escalante is the current Chief of Police of Northeastern Illinois University. He spent 30 years as a Chicago Police officer, where he climbed the ranks, eventually becoming First Deputy Superintendent and Interim Superintendent before retiring. In this episode, we learn about his life story, and what made him so successful in his career.
