Angel Manuel's Meetup

If you know Mario, then you know he is a poet, radio personality, activist, producer, event promoter, Mayor of Hyde Park, and legend Mario Smith.

I had the honor and privilege to get Mario on for a few minutes to discuss his life and career growing up destined to be in front of the microphone. He has his own radio show "News From the Service Entrance" and promotes events throughout Chicago. This young man is a true legend and an overall great person to be around. This podcast really deserves a listen and his name deserves a Google search.

This is most likely a part 1, with part 2 or even part 3 coming in the future. Make sure to subscribe to what I'm doing, subscribe to everything Mario creates, and stay in touch. We are not hard to get in contact with.

Welcome to another episode with a great guest, Ghanean sensation, the unofficial mayor of Chicago, and my good friend Dott Daley.

Matthew "Dott Daley" has been in party promotion since his days in college. Post graduation, Matthew has led a remarkable life in curating black experiences in Chicago, drawing from his roots in Ghana. The yearly flagship party has come to be known as Passport Vibes. A weekend-long celebration of Afrocentric cultures, with mixtures of afrobeats, hip hop, r&b, house, and much more.

That's not all!! In an unexpected twist, Matthew expresses who his favorite employee is, and the answer may not shock you.

In a quest to unravel the mysteries of finance and accounting, I had the privilege of sitting down with Professor Doristani, a renowned expert in the field and a guiding light for countless aspiring accountants. 💼

I have taken Intermediate Financial Accounting, and Advanced Financial Accounting with Dr. Doristani. He truly cares for his students as if we were all his children. All the Professor wants for us is to work hard, study hard, graduate, and become successful CPAs. I plan on taking his courses even as I take classes for my MBA or MSA. The decision has not been made yet on which path I will be taking. Anyway...

Charlie Cope is an amazing Americana artist out of Texas. He is multi-talented, media trained, and one of the nicest people you can talk to. In this episode, we discuss the music of course, past tours, future tours, growing up, and his new project "Live JEC Studio Sessions."

Be sure to check out his website.

I haven't seen my guy @TheMansNigel in like 6 weeks, so we had to get together and bring 2 hours and 20 minutes of conversation. I always enjoy making content with my friends, because podcast episodes are how we normally hang out but with microphones. This episode involves the police, stuffing people in walls, greatest rapper debates, summer plans, our different upbringings, and more. Check out Nigel's Soap Opera on all sites. Follow @TheMansNigel and the homie @Nephaniel. The video will be out eventually, I am still looking for a full-time video editor.

Today, I got to spend a couple of hours with my guys @Tweet5950 and @Mjyourmajesty. We have a terrific conversation about Chicago, music, gang culture, and so much more that you need to listen to.

Tweet has been an artist for years now who lately has moved into a managerial role, working with Cam Jae, a fellow Chicago artist who just dropped "Ready or Not" and every song is a banger. Mjyoumajesty also has years of artistry working as a songwriter, rapper, and producer. You can find their music on Spotify, Apple, and YouTube. So there is NO REASON to not listen to their work and follow them on Instagram.

We may even drop some music together in 2022...

John Escalante is the current Chief of Police of Northeastern Illinois University. He spent 30 years as a Chicago Police officer, where he climbed the ranks, eventually becoming First Deputy Superintendent and Interim Superintendent before retiring. In this episode, we learn about his life story, and what made him so successful in his career. If you come to NEIU you can definitely see him walking around helping anyone who needs help or has a question.

Eps #35 with Chicago's very own Nigel. We talked about weed, music, and the recording process. Anything else is just a spoiler. Follow Nigel on Instagram @themansnigel to stay up to date with release dates.   Listen to Nigel's newest single "Harvest Moon" and his latest full project "Quarantine Vol. 2: Still Blazing."

I caught up with one of my oldest friends, @erikmizhquiri. We talked about working in the food industry and how he's in the process of opening a second restaurant with his family. He started polishing silverware at 14 and at 26 is now the co-owner of Alexander's #startedfromthebottom. Ladies, he's also single. Don't forget to like/comment/share/subscribe/follow me where ever you feel like. Who should be the next guest on Angel Manuel's Meetup?
