Angela Champ has been named one of Canada's top 20 Human Resources (HR) leaders on the HDR Global 100 and she's been recognized on the Most Inclusive HR Influencers List. As the President of Lean in Canada Vancouver, former Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Prospera Credit Union and Intact Insurance (Western Canada), Angela knows a thing or two about how to build high-performing teams. 

Her book titled "Squiggly Line Career" comes out in November 2020, and focuses on why you should think of your own "squiggly" line career as a positive. She speaks about her own career and how she applied to become a Director of HR with next to no Human Resources experience. 

What struck me most about Angela is how she has a little cheerleader in her head that has been there for as long as she can remember. It always says "go try this" and "give that shot"! Also, Angela is not afraid to fail or feel embarrassed. 

Angela also discusses that looking at the "squiggly line career'ist" is an excellent way to find great candidates from diverse backgrounds.
