This was intended to be our Christmas episode but forgetfulness while travelling meant we missed releasing it altogether! But to celebrate the season while still in the realm of film noir, we watched Angels with Dirty Faces. In Home Alone, Kevin watches a gangster film titled "Angels with Filthy Souls" which is really the only connection you can draw between the two. There isn't a single scene in the real movie which matches the fictional one. But this James Cagney morality play is an interesting watch regardless. Happy New Year!
