Anger can cause lasting negative consequences if we are not careful and learn to manage it. Within the Stoic framework, anger usually arises due to our skewed value judgements. As stoics, we need to practice the discipline of assent, or stoic mindfulness, to evaluate if our opinions and judgments are in accordance with reason and sound logic.
