She did it again!!
Sally Goldenbaum has done it again! What a great mystery this was. She kept me guessing through the whole book. The narration was fantastic! Love these books!!!
Nell is a terrible character
Nell (one of the main characters) is easily one of the most annoying characters in any cozy mystery I own. She is nosy, but not in that endearing way. She's in everyone's business uninvited, and worse, she acts like she is entitled to nose around absolutely everywhere. The epitome of a bored old lady who stirs up trouble & gets in everyone's way. This could be endearing if she didn't also act snooty & entitled. Her "my life is perfect" shtick gets old fast. She is genuinely the worst. Izzy is a close second.
The only reason I keep up with this series is because I love Birdie so much & Cass too. A lot of the side characters are also a lot of fun & they make the story really enjoyable. The stories themselves are also fun mysteries to follow. Sometimes it gets frustrating as a reader to get left out of some big clues. But this book did a better job of giving us the info we need to solve the whodunit. If I could boot Nell out of the series it would be perfect!
