Angry Grandpa was the son of an abusive war veteran who grew up dirt poor in South Carolina. He had a full head of grey hair from a young age and went off to fight in the Vietnam war when he was only 18. It wasn’t long after he returned that he took to drinking and ended up befriending now-known serial killer “Pee Wee” Gaskins, a friendship that almost ended his story early. Living in a trailer park and having a shotgun wedding once he knocked up his girlfriend, it seems Charlie was a chip off the old abusive father block, and his alcoholism paired with his bi-polar disorder would make for a killer combo.
