The Department of Transportation has drafted new guidelines that would allow animals, including exotic pets such as miniature horses, monkeys, and yes, pot-bellied pigs on commercial flights - if they're used for "emotional support" by their owners.

After the Navy SEAL was killed in Afghanistan, Hawkeye's reaction to his owner's death generated a lot of buzz. Grief is one of the basic emotions dogs experience.
