Anna was one of the first digital scrapbook designers selling her designs for over 9 years now. Anna also is one of the 15 A-list instructors at True Scrap 3. I spoke to Anna earlier this month and chatted with her about:
Anna's True Scrap Class: Artsy Photo Techniques
Whether you’re a digi darling, a hybrid lover, or Photoshop baby, you’ll love this class on artsy photo techniques! Digital scrapbooking expert Anna Apsnes will demonstrate four artsy photo editing and embellishment techniques, including creating dreamy photo effects, enhancing a photo with color overlay, creating a photo flare, and using brushes to embellish a photo. Your transformed images can be incorporated into a variety of digital or paper projects.
Anna's Tip for Maintaining Creativity
Being open to the possibilities, being open to what is not obvious. Taking something and turning it on its side or turning it inside out or looking at it from a different angle. Those are the ways that I stay creative. Look at things and say, “How can I use that? How can I make that into something new? How can I make that something unique? How can I make that different? How can I use that in my work?”
Not confining yourself to what is expected, what is the norm, what you think you should be doing, what other people think you should be doing, but just dancing to the beat of your own drum.
I think that that’s really important for creative people so that they don’t feel like they have to conform. And I think that’s when the best ideas are born when people share and when they’re open and when they are allowing themselves to grow.
