The sculpture, created by North Carolina artist Anne (Annie) Lemanski is located at Dix Park and entitled, Sophia Fortuna, which means "wise luck". The sculpture is 26' feet tall with eight arms covered with 44 gloss finished spheres. The sphere canopy is 21-23 foot wide and has a ground clearance of 12 feet. Sitting on top of the canopy is a nine-foot great horned owl. The sculpture is fabricated entirely of stainless steel and powder coated.
