How many times have you thought about taking something you love doing, and converting it into a business? So, what about eating chocolate? This episode tells the story of one person’s passion for finding a way to take ethically sourced beans and converting them into tasty chocolate bars. Dr. Anne Godlewska spent many years as a Professor in the Geography Department at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Upon her retirement in early 2022, she built a commercial kitchen in her home; bought the necessary machines; put the beans in one end; and out came the bars at the other – with a lot of work in between!
Her many years studying geography play a role in this new business as well. Check out her story in this episode of The Kingstonian, recorded in April 2023.
