In todays episode I interview A probation officer  & now Keele University Lecturer about her  PHD  study that looked into the subject of  children’s  pathways into offending . My interviewees research considered children’s views in relation to those particular pathways .  Alongside hearing about the interviewees research we also hear the interviewees point of view about the current state of the residential childcare system in the UK  and what needs to be done to make improvements. Amongst other things we consider subjects such as physical restraint, the English care review and the context around placing children in care .  I found this interview, thought provoking and interesting.
