Pastor Angel shares her own experience of feeling anonymous as a parent when her son got his driver's license. She then talks about how Jesus also experienced a season of anonymity in his life, between the ages of 2 and 12. During this time, we don't know much about what he was doing or where he was.
Pastor Angel shares the story from Luke 2:43-52, where Jesus's parents lose him in Jerusalem. When they find him, he is in the temple, talking to the religious leaders. His parents are upset with him for staying behind, but he explains that he had to be in his father's house.
Pastor Angel points out that Jesus's words here are significant. He is essentially saying that he is the Son of God. However, his parents don't understand this at the time.
She concludes by saying that we all go through seasons of anonymity in our lives. These seasons can be difficult, but they are also an opportunity for us to grow closer to God. Just like Jesus, we can trust that God is with us even when we feel unseen.
