Hay and Todd are joined together to talk two big films of 2024 Anora and the Substance, for Anora we get into what the film excels at as well as Baker’s strengths as director, which leads into a discuss of a hierarchy of American Directors that Baker is in a very small conversation with. Then We jump to the Substance as the two disagree and try to work out their differences on what they got out of the film. Finally at the end Hay goes through some recent watches that Todd had already seen including Zone of Interest, Perfect Days, and a few others to end things off.
