There are so many ways to form a family. In this episode, my long-time friend, Shakella talks about her adoption journey. She and her husband have so much compassion and love in their hearts that it pours into their older children. The older children are all helpful with the younger kids.

Separation from family and friends during ’Pandemic 2020’ has made me feel empty and unable to socialize. In March, I started buying flowers as a way of adding a little bit of outside in my home. I would sip my boozy coffee while thinking about how much an ambivert like me missed chatting with people and absorbing their energy. After weekly posts of my coffee and flowers, my network encouraged me to create a space in which we can chat and reconnect the way we do over cocktails. Thus, ’Weekend Coffee Guh’ was born.
