Another Mass Shooting, this time in Louisville Kentucky, where a lone gun man, a former employee killed 4 and injured 9 people. Many are calling for gun reform and gun control. Yet, it remains a sore and uphill battle to change gun laws in America. Americans are fascinated with the gun and the constitution all but ensures and protects this right. However, gun reform may not be the easy answer and fix to gun violence. The recent gun violence and mass shooting involved lone gun men who are in some way, connected to the places and peoples they shoot. They return with rage and without discrimination shoot indiscriminately. The latest shooting may stem from unresolved HR issues, while the Monterey shooter had unresolved customer service issues. Others may stem from relative deprivation, with high income inequality and poverty and then, there is replacement ideology stemming from extremism. The violence and mass shooting is varied and must follow a multifaceted approach. We seem to have placed all our efforts into marching for gun control making it a socio-political issue. Hence, we miss the big picture and fail to properly address the problem. It has to be multifaceted and starting with the human is the first step.
I make this point on the episode and share a press briefing from the Governor and Law Enforcement in Kentucky with the press today.
I make a major announcement on the podcast regarding Neoliberalism Book 1 and Neoliberalism Book 2.
