One reader messaged me to say that a value/GARP approach isn’t working. So I put things into perspective by reminding him that there’s been a big market sell-off in recent weeks, hitting US shares the most, thanks to Trump.

Another reader asked me if the sell-off in fund manager shares is creating buying opportunities. I have a quick rummage and come up with some apparent bargains, but also warn against some pitfalls.
