Think about the last time you were faced with a difficult circumstance that triggered anger or grief within you. Maybe it was something like locking yourself out of the house or getting into a fender bender—or maybe it was something more extreme, like a difficult health diagnosis or the loss of a loved one. The next time you encounter a moment like this, wouldn’t it be wonderful not to lose yourself in negative thoughts, but to take a step back and embrace it? Adversity can swallow us whole, but it can also be a beautiful tool for growth and development, as long as we allow ourselves to awaken to the possibility.
Today, I welcome back my first repeat guest! By popular demand, my heart and thought partner and friend Rivka From is here to chat with me once again. Rivka is a grandmother, a mother, and a survivor who has spent two decades as an executive and personal coach, working to help people discover their true selves.
Tune in and listen to episode 11 of Cope and Land. Rivka and I talk about the importance of being seen and heard in your relationships, how viewing her cancer struggle as a vehicle for growth saved her life, and she shares an a-ha! moment or two. We also discuss one of my biggest wake-up moments regarding personal boundaries, the excitement and possibility of an uncertain future, and what it’s like to live an awakened life.
