Whenever a new planet’s discovered orbiting a distant star, there’s a great deal of excitement, especially if the new planet is thought to be earth-like. Researchers and the media quickly declare it might hold life. Why?
Well, in an evolutionary view, earth can’t be special. In the billions of years since the universe began life simply must’ve evolved somewhere else too. So, any planet that’s even slightly earth like becomes a primary candidate for evolution to have brought life forth on that planet too.
But, when we start with God’s Word, we know it was earth that was formed to be inhabited and life was created here.
