Is it loving to affirm LGBTQ identities? Many Christian think it is or assume it’s the only way to reach people for Christ. But as Christians we’re to be like Jesus who was full of grace and truth.
Many Christians want to be so full of “grace”—their own definition of grace—that they never call sin what it is. Others have the truth, but are harsh or rude about it. Neither is Christ-like!
The biblical response is to always be ready to give an answer for our hope, with gentleness and respect. So we must know what Scripture teaches and lovingly share it.
Affirmation isn’t love—God is love and love does not rejoice in evil.
