Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is the 3rd installment of the Ant-Man franchise and the 31st film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  It stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Jonathan Majors, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Michael Douglas.  It is the first film in Phase Five of the MCU.  In the film, the Ant-Man team gets pulled into the Quantum Realm, where they are introduced to a new civilization, including Kang the Conqueror.

Brian Tong rejoins the podcast to review this film.  They discuss the production elements and the impact of being in the Quantum Realm for a majority of the movie.  They also talk about its impact on setting up the bigger storyline for the MCU, as well as compare it to recent Marvel feature releases.

The Bad Batch is a spinoff of the animated series The Clone Wars and takes place shortly after the events of Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.  Season 3 was the final season and was completed on May 1, 2024.  It stars Dee Bradley Baker as all the clones, including all the male members of the Bad Batch. Michelle Ang voices Omega. Dave Filoni created the show.

Star Wars Insider JC Reifenberg returns to the podcast to discuss how compelling this series is despite it being about characters that previously had no ties to the Star Wars saga. Their adventure impacts other stories, and Reifenberg breaks it all down.

Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part 1 is the newest WBD/DC Universe release and the first of a trilogy that concludes the “Tomorrowverse” cluster of films. That continuity began in 2020 with Superman: Man of Tomorrow. Crisis is based on the 1985-1986 epic crossover from DC Comics. It is not to be confused with the Crisis crossover in the “Arrowverse” that aired on the CW.

All three films were written by Jim Krieg, who joined the show. He's agreed to review all three parts here on the podcast. In this episode, Krieg talks about the need for proper backstories for Supergirl, Psycho Pirate, and the Monitor.  He also discussed how Part 2 is a bridge between 1 and 3, and how tied into each other the films are.

378. Invincible (Season 2) REVIEW (SPOILERS)

Lenny Jacobson played Wayne Cobb in the Apple TV+ series For All Mankind.  He joined the podcast after a mutual friend found out that Seth was a big fan of the show. He also played Gordo in the reboot CW series Frequency, and Evan in the 2022 Max/DC series Peacemaker.  He is also well known for his role in the Comedy Central series Big Time in Hollywood, Florida.

In this episode, Jacobson discusses his career path and the various Hall of Justice-adjacent projects he has been involved in.  He also discussed how For All Mankind grew in popularity after Season 1, and that show's multiple plot twists and character arcs.
